From cultural attractions like museums and art exhibits to more active fun like golf courses and race tracks, Irving is full of exiting things to do all year round.

Cottonwood Creek Park is one of the top attractions in the city, with a rock climbing wall, expansive playground, picnic tables, a pond, soccer fields, a baseball diamond and more. If you’re looking for a great place to fish, play disc golf, or go for an evening jog, Victoria Park is a great choice as well. For retail therapy, the Irving Mall, the MacArthur Park Shopping Center and Neiman Marcus are resident favorites.

One of the top family attractions in Irving is SpeedZone, where you can ride go karts, race dragsters, play mini golf or hit the arcade. But those aren’t the only fun things to do with kids. There’s also Chuck E. Cheese and the Fritz Park Petting Farm, where you can interact with cows, horses, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, peacocks, goats, and more.

The list of free activities in Irving is endless. Stop by and see the beautiful Mustangs of Las Colinas statues, walk down the Mandalay Canal or check out the beautiful Las Colinas Flower Clock. There’s also an old train depot on Main Street, and 22-miles of winding trail along the Trinity River.

Theaters abound in Irving, so movie nights with that special someone are easy and affordable. Some of the top spots include the Hollywood Theaters and the Starplex. There are also hundreds of top-notch restaurants in Irving, including The Ranch, Via Real, and Aspen Creek. If you’re a fried food-lover, you’ll be glad to know there’s a Buffalo Wild Wings at 1200 Market Place. Pizza Hut is also a good option for a sit down meal, with several locations around Irving.

For a super romantic evening, try a water taxi ride along the canals and through Lake Carolyn.

The biggest annual event in Irving is the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, a PGA tour event that occurs every spring at the local Four Seasons. The Las Colinas Country Club also hosts an LPGA North Texas Shootout annually, and the city’s Juneteenth event offers free food, music and more to all residents.

Want to soak in some culture? Head to the Irving Arts Center, which boasts both performing and visual arts exhibits year-round. Other cultural venues in the area include the National Scouting Museum, the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, and Lyric Stage. If you’re a foodie, Taste of Irving may be more the culture you’re looking for. An annual festival where you can taste the area’s best foods and drinks, it’s a can’t-miss event.
